Dr. Andrea Maddox is originally from Tullahoma TN. She grew up riding and competing horses in eventing competitions. She also was a Pony Club member for 15 years. She worked as a veterinary technician for equine practices and small animal practices during her college and veterinary school years.
Dr. Maddox earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Mississippi State University in 2004. She then attended The University of Tennessee Veterinary School to obtain a DVM degree in 2009.
Dr. Maddox is so committed to providing high quality integrative care for veterinary medicine. She attended and completed the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association-certification course offered at Options for Animals, an intensive post-graduate training course that looks beyond the simple mechanics of adjusting animals and into the depths of animal physiology, anatomy, pathology and gait training. This course and subsequent certification examination is what qualified her to become IVCA-certified in animal chiropractics, making her one of only 1500 certified doctors in the country.
In 2017, she continued her integrative medicine studies to include both small and large animal acupuncture by attending the Chi institute (now Chi University).
